Cleaning methods
The moxibustion device should be cleaned promptly after use to remove residual dust, debris, oil stains, and other substances. These substances not only affect the temperature and aroma during the next use, but may also cause fires or explosions. The specific cleaning steps are as follows:

Remove residues: Use an electric heating moxibustion box, wait for it to cool down after disconnecting the power (usually takes about 10 minutes), and gently wipe the inside with a clean soft cloth or tissue; Using a flame heated moxibustion box, wait for it to cool down after turning off the fire source (usually taking about 20 minutes), and gently scrape off the inside with a small brush or cotton swab.
Disinfection and sterilization: After removing residues, when using an electric heating moxibustion box, spray a small amount of 75% alcohol or other disinfectant inside and wipe it clean with a clean soft cloth or tissue; When using a flame heated moxibustion box, add a small amount of vinegar or lemon juice inside and gently stir evenly with a small brush or cotton swab.

Ventilation and drying: After completing the above two steps, place the moxibustion box in a ventilated and dry place to dry, in order to avoid water retention inside causing rusting, mold and other problems. When using an electric heating moxibustion box, it can be placed under an electric fan or hair dryer and dried with weak wind; When using a flame heated moxibustion box, it can be placed in sunlight and dried with natural heat.

Precautions
When using and maintaining moxibustion devices, the following points should also be noted:

Avoid using in damp, high temperature, and direct sunlight environments to prevent damage to the instrument.
Ensure that the power has been cut off to prevent electric shock.
If excessive heating or abnormal noise is found on the surface of the instrument, it should be stopped immediately and professional personnel should be sought for inspection and maintenance in a timely manner.
When not in use for a long time, it should be stored in a dry and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight and rainwater erosion.
By following the above maintenance methods, the service life of the moxibustion device can be effectively extended, its work efficiency can be improved, and its regulating effect on human health can be better exerted.
